MK7 Transit instrument cluster problems

Postby MajorMarkLittle » Wed Apr 24, 2019 2:38 pm

So when I start it mostly first thing in the morning, the following happens,

https://youtu.be/LSCmv9AxB8E

Above is a you tube video of it,

The van starts and I get no movement from any of the dials, revs, fuel, speedo and temperature, also no response from the throttle.
Turn it off and back on and it works, sometimes, I have to do this 3 or 4 times

Any help would be welcomed thanks in advance

Have you checked the wires at the back of the cluster itself? If you wriggle them it may work if so you had a bad connection.

Ignition switch is my guess.

Mine did this, along with lighting up every warning light.

I hit the top of the dashboard as hard as I could with my fist and it was never a problem again
