Starting Problem

Postby Azer van man » Thu Jun 20, 2019 3:11 pm

Anyone had similar problem.
I had a new Starter Motor fitted last week as every now and again the engine turns over but won’t start...?
I upgraded to a Bosch Starter motor this time thinking the cheaper one might be failing...! but still get the problem from time to time, starts first thing no problem.

I’ve fitted a new ignition switch in the last few days recommended by a friend but the problem persists .. :?
I have been told it could be where the battery leads from the battery meet the chassis, there maybe a bad earth there...?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Van is still a 2010,3.2,200ps Jumbo before anyone asks..and yes it is old..!

Could well be,that or Crank Sensor,I think I’ll have to get it plugged in to find the problem, crank sensor isn’t as easy as just buying a new one and fitting it unfortunately :(
