Recommend me an EGR valve.

Postby Croftylad » Sun Jun 23, 2019 11:42 am

My Mk7 Transit doesn't do many miles so tends to flag up egr faults every few years. I bought my last egr a couple of years ago and it appears to be okay however the air flow sensor flagged up fault codes recently so suspect it may be on the way out. The last one was about 45 quid on the bay. I looked again to get another and couldn't believe how many were for sale and how cheap they are! It's a bit of a bugger to replace so I don't want to put one on that is useless and we also go abroad in the van so don't want problems. Can anyone recommend a cheap one that's been okay.
Many thanks
Antony

Bit more expensive but have you considered getting it remapped and delete the egr function? then you'll never have to worry about it.

Sorry can't really recommend as such but the uprated one from tpuk has been on ours for a few years now with no bother.

Aren't they checking for fit and "Function" these days?? Not just at MOT but at random roadside inspections too..!!
