aftermarket cruise control?

Postby nikstik » Mon Aug 19, 2019 10:06 am

Hi guys, question, i'M going to get a aftermarket cruise unithttps://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-TRANSI ... %7Ciid%3A1

and wanted to use a oem steering wheel with the cruise buttons, will this work? Thought about removing the d shape control and connecting straight to the wheel. Thoughts?

If your close to someone with ids the full oem system is better you will not be able to put the oem wheel on or attach the aftermarket control to the wheel either ,there's not enough connections in the clockspring Ford use a resistance ladder to tell the cruise what you want it to do 2 wires and as far as I know the aftermarket units tie into the throttle pedal circuit .Also clutch and brake need tied in, the latter 2 won't matter to the wheel.

No worries thought maybe it might be a easy connect.
