P0180 is a fuel temp issue.... during the learns the fuel temp must stay within a small range, if it strays outside this range, the learns will fail.

I like to start the learns from a cold engine and commence the process as soon as the temp is just in the lower limit, the temp will rise during the learns and it needs to be kept under control. I dribble the garden hose over the fuel rail whilst doing the learns and this seems to work fine.

thanks for that, you start with pump or injector learn first?

Pump, pilot, injector. But be sure to reset the PRV counters first.

Also be aware the process will fail if the injectors are not well. The pumps very rarely fail.

Cheers lord knobb, i have completed the test pump and injectors and all went fine, and no codes found, i tried resetting the prv etc but kept coming up with this function is not supported..this was back in september and i sent forscan email and this is what they said.

hello forscan,
when i try to reset the fuel pressure relief valve and the and the open count learned values it comes up with service procedure not supported,
I though i may have been able to do this or is it in another version of forscan?
thankyou

Hello,

It is not a bug. The function is available only for certain PCM/firmware versions. Your PCM/firmware doesn't support it (doesn't require this function).
