So the 06 is an rac van?

If both are mk7 dana rwd disks and single wheel then they will use the same axle case, but the differential ratio can be different.

You can etis both vin numbers to see what axle ratio they have.

Generally ppl will go for 4.xx ratio if they want a mix but mostly driving like a car, some go for 3.xx if they have a more powerful engine, 5.xx for slow heavy towing (not the favourite radio though).

What Loot said....Mk7 RWD came with several ratios for the rear end:

3.31, 3.58, 3.73, 3.91, 4.10, 4.27, 4.78, 5.11 & 5.44....see here:

https://ford.7zap.com/en/transport/133/ ... 234/84432/

Not all were available at all times during the run of the Mk7 and some were originally for the 5 pot 200ps etc...They should all be interchangeable though...just a matter of finding what you want, some aren't easy to come by.

Most common are the 3.73, 4.27 and 5.11....5.11 was usually for the heavy machines like tippers, recovery trucks and motorhomes etc...

Oh...I see you've got 2 diffs then..... and both are 4.27...

Seriously, the 4.27 ratio is a good "all-rounder", reasonable for towing and general running about and not too bad on the motorway.
