Mk7 transit instrument cluster

Postby Csh » Tue Mar 31, 2020 6:16 pm

If I bought a new dash instrument cluster could I plug it in and would it work without having to be programmed? 2012 transit limited

Yes but it won't have right milage for your van, it will have the other vans milage, you can adjust the milage up the way to correct it if it's lower using forscan or IDS but you can't reduce milage.
Also depending if the rev counter has a red or green band if they are different from original certain functions do not show up on dash but they still work. Like hill hold for one.

I heard about someone (cough cough) who had two sets of clocks that were swapped once year for a completely ligitimate purpose

And no programing was required.

Don't know about brand spankers though?
