Check the boost pipes and intercooler splits if you see signs of oil on them give that area a good inspection.

Hi dumper yea I checked the pipes took out the intercooler it was fairly dirty cleaned it out they all seem good wondering if I should take out the intake manafold and check that would that cause low boost I also cleaned the egr valve no change any ideas would be appreciated

I think that they have had the plastic manifold split I don’t know if spraying wd 40 or water will show it up

I would start at the Turbo, disconnect the hose to the inter cooler and start the van. is there pressure from the turbo outlet, if no its a turbo associated fault. If yes there is pressure reconnect hose and disconnect after the inter cooler, do you have pressure now. if no its probably a blocked or split inter cooler. And so you continue Im sure you get the idea. Normally if theirs a leak you can here it if its bad or at least feel it.

Yea I tried that and there is very little pressure from the turbo I took out the turbo and the impellers where free no play on the shaft of the turbo but the waste gate is very hard to move I'm not sure if it should be easy to move I can't understand why the turbo is not giving out much pressure could the waste gate cause that? Appreciate your help

I don't know a lot about turbos but do you know when you start the van should the rod on the wast gate move when I took the turbo out I have a hand vacuum pump I put it on the waste gate and it took some pressure to move it

Not had the problem myself but I would say it’s sticking give it some WD40 and see if you can free it off.

Yea tryed that not sure if the actuator should move when the van starts and if that would cause low pressure on intercooler pipes if anyone knows would be much appreciated

It won't show much in the way of boost unloaded, only way is to fit a boost gauge.
