Injector learns

Postby Davehalldy » Mon Jun 08, 2020 1:05 pm

Injector learns keep failing. I did a leak off test and that was ok. Replaced prv and scv. Pump learns done but just keeps failing on the injector learns and each time a different code. And i need van to get to work.

These aren't Ford error codes.....What is their prefix..?? P, U..??

Were the SCV and PRV genuine Ford/Denso items..?? Was the fuel temp & CHT/coolant temp within limits during the learns.??

Hi been busy working all week. Had the injectors out today. Cut the seats new seals. Tried again did pump learn it did say afterwards a code would be logged can't remember the code. But it said it completed.
Then tried pilot learns first attempt got to 4 on the second cycle and failed. Thats the furthest I've got before. Second attempt got to 5 on the 3rd cycle and failed. Then any other attempt would only get to 4 on first cycle. The valve on fuel rail is a denso the one on pump I'm unsure. Wondering if to order another one. Its becoming a bit of a money pit at the moment ☹️. Just had to buy a strut for the front after that snapped the other day. Thats a job for sunday. But need to get the learns done.

Dtc p0268b

Postby Davehalldy » Sun Jun 14, 2020 5:07 pm

trying to do the learns but every time i try to do the pump learn its now saying dtc p0268b will be logged. Checked the wiring to injectors all seems fine. Wondering if it would be injector. Did try testing with multi meter but all injectors had same reading. But does the code refer to cylinder 3 or injector 3?

Do you not mean P062B ?
This is a code to say 'pump learn not done' you will be able to clear it once you get learn to complete.....
This is normal, the procedure clears the (old) learned values before re-learning them.

Have you done an injector leak-off test...?? This will give a fair idea of injector health..! New fuel filter..??

Might have been better to carry on your other thread....

When you removed injectors, did you make sure they’ve gone back in the same cylinders ?

Yes fuel filter has been changed recently. Have ordered some connectors to fit injectors so can do leak off test. And i only did one injector at a time to make sure they didn't get mixed up. I will double check the codes tomorrow though. Just to check if it has had any changed before i got the van.
