MK7 FWD 2.2 scrap engine, any possibility of using mondeo pa

Postby Longers91 » Sun Jul 05, 2020 2:37 pm

I've a 2007 FWD Transit with big end gone, ive also got a complete mk3 mondeo 2.0 tdci, is there anyway I can use the engine from the mondeo, using either complete engine loom bcm etc or bottom end with the 2.2 head stuck on?

Thanks in advance

Sell your mondeo and buy a 2.2 transit engine

You can use it but you'll have to change the dash loom, engine loom, instrument cluster ect ect paul2012 is the man to ask.

My advice to save you a whole life of pain (the 2.0 tdci fuel system is crap) is either get a cheap rusty mk7 and swap the engine of get a refurbished engine.

Can you not rebuild your engine?

All that doesn't bother me, car was free so can use any of it, my own engine no.3 big end is gone and block has a small bit missing at the water jacket.

There are a few members that tried but I think they are in a home now, get an engine or another van
