2011 Big Propshaft U Washer Help

Postby ginsambo » Thu Sep 17, 2020 12:51 pm

Cannot find a propshaft U washer. Ford's don't have it listed at all. For a 2011 6 spreed Crew Cab Tipper.

Called two parts dealers, they only have the smaller propshaft retaining washer listed for my model of 2.4 chassis cab until 2013.

I've got the larger prop with the larger prop bearings and prop shaft retaining washer. Ford only come up with 0 440 570 which is the smaller prop washer and is wrong.

Bloody typical, just about to make a copy from the other one, but wondered if anyone could give me any advice. Many thanks. Sam

Just a thought. Are Mk8 Propshaft centre bearing bolts M12 with an 18mm head? Got a feeling a Mk8 one might fit it as the photo seems to be similar.

Just ordered part number 1825467 for that U washer. It's for a MK8 to present Box/Platform Chassis/Chassis Cab RWD or AWD. Hoping it fits as seems they seem like they may have an M12 bolt, which mine also has (Along with 35mm prop bearings). The part that is listed for my truck by Ford (0440570) doesn't fit, as apart from being too small, it's for a M10 bolt, although pretty sure it'll fit Mk7's with 30mm prop bearings, Mk5's, Mk3's and old Ford Sierras FFS.

I'II repost if it fits, hopefully it'll help someone. In the mean time gonna get out the angle grinder on some 4mm and hopefully get a MOT retest. Only going local.

Nope not the Mk8 standard part, part number 1825467 either. Way too small but slightly bigger than the Mk7 part.

Don't really know what to do now as Ford don't seem to have or even list the big propshaft Mk7 6 Speed 115ps 2.4 TDCI Twin wheel Chassis Cab, Big Prop part. Got a temporary fix on at the moment until I can go to a scrappy.
