Thanks - what makes you say its one of the first? - just curious

Your first post where you say it's a 2012...The Euro-5 was only introduced in late 2011, the 2.4 was never released as a Euro-5... and the 2.4 RWD was discontinued well before that in 2010, so it has to be a 2.2, Euro-5 RWD were only 2.2 and yours being a 2012 would make it one of the earliest of those methinks. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong though.

I think that Ford started to use this new engine in the very last mk7 transits, as this is the same engine and gearbox used in the all new 2012 transit custom. I also have a friend who has a 2013 LWB MK7 100PS transit, and has this same engine. His van must have been one of the very last mk7 to be registered. Please correct me if you disagree!
ned wrote:According to ETIS, my engine is a 2.2L CR TC I4 DSL 125 PS ( 2012 mk 7)
2.2L = cubic capacity,
CR = common rail,
TC = turbo charged,
DSL = diesel,
I4 = in-line 4, as in 4 cylinders in a line,
125ps = engine power.
