Codes P0299 & P2539

Recently bought a Mk7 2.2 RWD transit mbw med roof. I'm unsure if its euro 4 or 5 and don't know how to find that out.

It's had the engine light on reading the codes in the title - P0299 and P2539 - Turbo Underboost and Fuel Low Pressure Sensor - Circuit Malfunction.

After I start it she'll drive fine for a short while then as soon as there's any demand on the engine I will get the "Engine Malfunction" message beep, the ESP light comes on, can hear the turbo stop working and then she's got zero guts especially on hills. If I re-start her after driving continuously for over an hour sometimes she'll drive fine for a while even up hills up to a certain gradient but eventually the esp light will come back on and we're back to gutless.

When I first bought it the fuel gauge didn't work, reading as empty when full. I've since had the tank off and the mechanism within was smashed to bits, had that repaired, fuel gauge reads accurately down to just less than a quarter before stopping. Found that out the hard way with one empty tank on the m6. Not sure if this is related or not.

Seen people advise toward the EGR valve with the 0299, apparently the EGR' and DPF have been done by the guy who had it before but haven't checked that, I'm not that handy when it comes to mechanics n wouldnt know where to start.

If anyone could offer me some advice on where to start with these problems I'd be very much appreciative.

2.2 RWD will be Euro-5....there wasn't any 2.2 RWD Euro-4's...All Euro-4 RWD's were 2.4L.
