B1868 Lamp Air Bag Warning Indicator Circuit Failure

Postby oatis » Sun Nov 29, 2020 8:24 pm

Hi!
Today I checked my van with forscan, and I got this error:B1868. Is it a lamp problem or any circuit error? The airbag indicator never lite up. Does Somebody repair this error ever? How can I check what is the problem?
Thanks!

When you turn the key on(when all lamps and warning lights show up for a few seconds then go out)
Does the airbag light show when the rest are lit?

Sounds like a fault with the led within the clocks.
Either it's failed or someone has removed it for some reason.
Are you getting any other SRS (Safety Restraint System), airbag related codes?

No other air bag system error code. I have only one other error code (P251A-Power take off enable switch circuit open) but I think so it isn't airbag system faliure code. Only a LED faliure can generate this error code, or is it a circuit error? I think i can replace the led.
How difficult remove the instrument board? How can I do it simple?

The instrument cluster is not too hard to come out but can be a pain as a fair bit of dash panels need removed.
Radio, center panel, tray above cluster, steering column top cover, gray panel under column and clock surround. There's a "cam lock" plug on the back and 4screws to hold the cluster into the dash.
There's a fair bit of info spread around the forum if your not sure of something.
The clocks come apart fairly easily, mostly clips round the outside and a couple of screws in the back the awkward bits are the needles they can be tight, move them to the end of their stop one way and mark the face with a pencil so you know where they go back on.

Hi!
I changed the bad sensor and the beep is gone when I start up, But parking assistant do nothing when I put the tranmission in reverse. There isn't beeps when I put something behind the van.
What can I do? Any idea?
Maybe the switch in the transmission is bad? Where is it exactly?
