Strange Battery Cable

Anyone have any Idea as to how or why this cable is looped here? I'm assuming it's not OEM, but why would what I'm assuming is the negative be here like this?

Have you traced the ends if one end is bolted to the floor it’s been a Earth at work they only had black wire for battery leads if you was lucky the electricians Would put red tape on the end of the leads .
