Hi loot thanks for your reply

I'm having problems with the central locking not operating the rear door and side sliding door locks. I've traced the 3 wires from each of the lock actuators back to the BCM basically all 3 wires are grounding out. I've replaced and recoded the BCM but the problem is still the same.

I'm now trying to figure out the wires that go in to the BCM to trigger the central locking so I can trace those to wherever they go.

All door motor drive lines are earthed through the bcm until a power pulse is applied to drive the motor.

To drive a motor the bcm switches power from fuse 78 to the appropriate motor wire with a relay that acts as a changeover switch, swicthing the motor wire from earth to power.

Lock all and unlock all use a single relay for each function since there are slices in the wiring loom.

Loot has pdfs of the wiring somewhere, diagram 501-14-00
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

Thanks v8dave that makes a lot of sense so I need to test the wires whilst cycling the central locking but if that doesn't help the the problem may be the signal to the bcm. I could do with the pin data to know which wires to look at

Thanks for the file loot I've had a quick look at it on my phone I'll print it off and hopefully this weekend I can start testing the components and hopefully narrow down the problem and finally fix it.

I was coming close to subscribing to autodata for a month just to get the pindata so massive thanks.

I'll let you know how I get on.

Hello kind people,

I’ve been scratching my head for the past two days to find a way to add an aftermarket lock/unlock controller to my 2008 Transit.
My van only has one key fob and it doesn’t work. No response when pressing the buttons. I’ve already replace the battery, no luck.
So my next step was to find a second hand BCM that comes with both keys but learned that it’s not a direct swap and the “new” bcm needs to be programmed. This isn’t an option as I have no contacts of someone who’s willing to do that job in my area of Bulgaria.
So I ended up on getting a no name controller from AliExpress and hoping that it will do the job.
Is there a way to get my hand on the BCM Pin layout?

Best regards,
Dimitar

Does the RCS receiver LED flash when the FOB buttons are pressed..?? Do your interior cab lights work..??

I’ve got a slightly different issue but you all seem to know a lot about wiring :D

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for Custom 2019 I’ve got an issue with when I lock the van with FOB or key the doors all lock but the horn sounds as if there’s a door unlocked, tried replacing sliding door pins and rear door lock but no joy…Battery voltage is fine. Any ideas ..??
