Vehicle security

Postby tommytransit130T260 » Sun Apr 11, 2021 4:17 am

Hi all.

Anyone in Leicester/Leicestershire recommend a good company that can supply and fit a decent alarm system and tracker?

Thanks

Trackers you can get on ebay - they work on the mobile phone networks. Alternatively stick an old phone somewhere with a new sim card in it - and turn it onto silent mode! Then install a tracker app on it. Remember to recharge every few days..

A disklok is a bloody good deterrent. The local travellers took an interest in my van a while back. A week or two after they had been round asking if it was for sale, i found two vertical marks on the door lock black plastic where they'd attempted to start turning it to get in - then presumably seen the disklok and decided not to bother. Yes they can be gut off with a grinder but it will make a hell of a noise for quite a few minutes. The disklok is also simple to install - but will leave marks on your steering wheel.

Also has a built in brown trouser momenter due to the novel rear suspension and a "this'll cost a lot to fix" thought generator :!:
