steering fluid?

Postby ElBucko » Fri Apr 16, 2021 8:21 am

what are people's thoughts on power-steering fluids? Is it critical to use Ford spec, or are there other cheaper/better lubes out there? Some of the ionic or nano-additives can turn basic fluids into better performance ones for example.

You can use any carmine-colored torque converter oil.

I've just changed mine - found it impossible to find one which meets the Ford specs so bought 2 litres of this:

It's full synthetic and reasonably cheap. Got to be better than the dirty stuff I took out. Seems to work so far.
