Postby Maxzkool » Fri Apr 16, 2021 8:26 pm

Hi guys my dads 2010 mk7 transit 2.2 is smoking on startup/cold but when up to temperature is completely fine, no lack of power what so ever, have changed glowplugs and its better but not 100%. Also theres no fault codes. Any ideas thanks

Having the same issue with my 08 mk7, egr has been changed last year, she’s just hit 151k and still going like a beast but she smokes on first start up (cold) and hunts on idle when cold only. Changed ignition switch last week.

Hunting idle is the SCV playing up...very common. Try a set of learns first before buying new valves.
