TDDI in a TDCI power issue help

Hi everyone newbie here looking fir some advice on a recent purchase.
Transit mk6 2.4 tddi engine
Originally it was a tdci and the issue is there is no sensor on the intercooler pipe that goes to the egr valve as usual, and the only plug spare in that location is a 2 pin one. Also there is no sensor on the air filter box either, there is a electronic sensor on the bulkhead at rear of the engine however I’m not sure it’s of any use or even if the pipes are fitted the correct way round.
Any advice would be appreciated thank you in advance.
