Mk8 twin wheels do they fit mk6???

Bought some Mk8 wheels with 195/75/16
Original Mk6 are 185/75/16
I know the front wheels fit but some guy told me the inside backs don’t fit and the tires will touch each other?? Any help please as I can’t get to the truck to check at the moment just don’t want to waste my time thanks

They shouldn’t touch touch each other they don’t on a mk8 so won’t on a mk6 no matter what they are on the distance between the tyres is the same if you put bigger tyres on the mk8 rims then maybe.

What I was told is that the wheel doesn’t fit the axle something about the wheel doesn’t fit over the drum? I’m confused and just don’t want to get to fitting and they don’t hope you understand

If you have the wheels just try fitting them I don’t know but I think mk7 will fit a mk6 so I would expect them to fit .if not and the wheels are the same diameter width and offset put a mk8 tyre on a mk6 rim and put it on the inside of the axle .

You can go forward but can never go back mk 8 will fit earlier but earlier wont fit mk 8

They fit a treat well happy and definitely freshens the looks thanks for the help
