Transit no fuel in the filter in the morning

Postby stanthetransitman » Mon May 10, 2021 12:53 pm

Hello everyone
im chasing an issue on a 2.4 fwd 2007 transit. Sometimes im getting starting issues im fairly sure its fuel related because in the morning the fuel filter has very little fuel in it.
whilst looking into it i noticed a strange bit of wire in the fuel filter housing i've attached a photo would someone be able to tell me if its normal or not please?

Thanks in advance

You likely have an air leak upstream of the filter, leakback lines/O-rings, a cracked filter head or the fitting O-rings. I believe the wire is normal.
