Static from arm rest.

Postby rotory » Fri May 14, 2021 10:26 am

Hi all,
When mobile I seem to get a lot of static between the drivers door arm rest and my arm. Hairs on my arm stand out. Wondering if it’s a normal situation ?. Is there an earthing point near the door ?.

Could get my arms waxed I suppose !!.

I can understand that, I used to get zapped often when I worked on aircraft. But this is different, continuous static while driving. Also when a use the passenger door to lock the central locking it’s great. When I use the drivers door the left hand door lock sounds slow. Must be a bad earth somewhere on drivers side.

Thanks for the reply
