Coolant pipe cracked!!

Hi lads, just wondering if this has happened to anyones van or just lucky old me..Ive an 06 Mk7 2.4 tdci rwd and the metal coolant pipe coming out of the engine has cracked. The oil from the timing chain is finding its way out the crack and probably past the gasket to cover. Is this a start of something more serious or just a 1 off fatigue thing?
