AIR VENT SMELL

When the engine is at temperature and the heating is on there is a smell of exhaust fumes coming through the vents, and goes away when switched to cold, anybody got any idea as to why? Mk6 2.4 diesel.

Exhaust gasket ?.

Turned out to be leaking inlet manifold, might get a bit more power now,
