So,
i just received a used ABS motor, and tomorrow, i'll try to make it fit and connect it to the ASM pump.

I'd like to make a detailed tutorial later, cuz it seems there's a lot of people with the same issue.
For the moment, here's what i get, please lemme know if i'm wrong

The only thing to work on to make the motor fit the pump is that part :

The red on the picture should be grinded out.

So it looks like the original motor :

And finally, to remove the VW plug, and put the original plug instead?

Is that it?

Finally got time to look at the van..
Can someone confirm the pump is located behind the front left wheel? (don't wanna take it out and then realise it's the ABS ;)

Yeah i had to lay down under the left hand side of the van, its up in front of the tank if i remember, its fiddly but the motor went in and i was able to plug it in. There was possibly a guard, to be honest it was about 18 months since i done this

Yep, I figured with the photos from that topic :
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=164649

the only difference is that my van is a EU version, with the steering system right next to the HPU, leaving so few space to work in there...

Here are some updates.
I finally got the motor out, and it looked in very good shape, very clean, not like the ones i saw pictures of on the internet...
I tried it on external power source, and it looked and sounded exactly like the 2nd hand ABS motor i got to replace it..

I replaced it anyway, with the modified ABS motor, and with no surprise, the problem remains...

So, now, i don't really know what to do. It seems Durashift problems can be very expensive and a pain in the ass to solve, so i was considering a Manual gear box conversion, but this is way out of my league, so i need to find somebody to do it for me. I also don't know how much i'd have to pay for it. I understood parts are not expensive, but it can be a day or two of work...

I am in Berlin, at the moment... If by any chance someone knows a person/place i can ask about it..

If i remember reading right, they have door sensors that can cause a problem with they asm system. Try the search on here,
