Pinion seal leaking and how do I know if I have a dana axle

Hi all

I have a 2009 2.4tdci 140 6 speed rwd mwb High top. Rear diff is a 427.

The Pinion seal is shot. Oil all over the underside of the van, checked the breather and it isn't plugged.

Anyone know a good company I can get the seal from? Or the part number I need. A link would be good.

And also what is a Dana axle. How do you tell?

iinm it'll be a Dana 60 with 35spline half shafts if it's a single wheel, pretty sure the dualies are the same but don't quote me on that.

If the pinion seals leaking does the pinion shaft have any play or float?
If so it may need shims or new crush sleeve to reset pinion preload.

What Airthies said. 4.27 will be a Dana axle.
