We were fortunate enough to go to Silverstone the other week to watch Moto GP and "camped" in the van ( Mk7 2.2 350 rwd) for the first time. We took with us a portable DVD player to watch a film each night as we were there for 3 nights. Absolutely gutted to discover the accessory sockets only become live when the ignition is switched on . Our car has one in the boot that is constant live even our motorbike has one that's live at all times. I will install a switched socket in the back shortly so next time we can watch the DVD player.
