Removing a MK6 Fuel pump TDDI

How hard is it o remove a MK6 TDDI Transit Fuel pump,I was think it was just bolt off but today some told me you need a special tool to remove it
Its this right or it it just bolt of and can it be done on my path and is their any thing i should know
i have never done one on a mk6 done lots on mk5s so just thought i would ask

you only need the tool if you dont want to take of the front engine cover, other than that its lock the cams and crank with a few drill bits and then its a few bolts

It really is easier with the tools though - I've got this set and it's only about £20, so I reckon it's well worth it:

The other thing you need is a long but thin T45 (I think) Torx bit to go through the holes in the pump sprocket and undo the three bolts holding the pump flange on. I made one out of a normal long bit by grinding, but I'd have bought one if I'd remembered. Everyone else uses studs with nuts on the outside, but Ford put bolts through from the inside...
