Postby johnski » Tue Oct 26, 2021 7:58 pm

both were working fine yesterday no nothing (unlikely that both would got at the same time)

ive swapped relays 11 and 13 over (main and dipped) but still nothing

surely both bulbs cant go at the same time?

Yes they can, I've had both bulbs blow at the same time a few times now, and not just headlights.

It's certainly the first thing before you look elsewhere

Just fit some good quality LED's and be done with it...they last for yonks and are much better than the silly OEM candles...! Some manufacturers quote in excess of 50,000hours..

  8)

It's not often that my advice is taken AND turns out to be correct, so I'm as chuffed as you are that you're sorted easily and cheaply.

It might be worth checking your charging voltage, just to make sure that the volts aren't a bit high  but it could just be bad luck :(
