Rear door issue. Again. Door saying open so can't lock it

Hi

My rear doors on my mk7 have been nothing but trouble.
First the lock module failed and left it in the deadlock position. I ended up having to cut the latch with a recip and order a new lock module and latch.
All fitted today however to get the door to lock I have to push hard with my shoulder.
I have to repeat to unlock it.
The door doesn't seem to be latching correctly.
The latch I bought is an eBay cheap thing so potentially it's not the same size and this is stopping the latch operating properly.
The other thing is if the doors can be aligned some how to pull it in closer?

Transit toot is doing mine and my neighbours heads in.

Any help would be great.
