Replaced the fuel pump tryed to programme the pump with ford ids and no joy as soon as it comes to the 10 minute counter it stops straight away and then the coil light started to flash the only code its coming up with is p1608 pcm so had a good look at the wiring and cant find any broken wires does anyone know a fixs for this fault before I fit another pump if I can find 1 being a 125 the pumps are different to the other pumps thanks for any advice.jason

125 TDDi pump should be a VP-44, same as the 115 & 120 TDDi engines. 75 & 90 use the VP-30 pump.

Was the pump "virginized"..??

P1608 points to a pump loss of communication/wiring issue, have you checked the wiring loom/connector to the pump..?

Thanks for reply knobby1 all the wiring as been checked the first pump we got programmed straight in no problems but was given the wrong pump and it's was no good with dtc p1664 now I've put another pump on it and it won't program in going try another pump today as the bloke needs is 18ft scaffolding truck back and it's taking 3 spaces up I hope this 1 will work mate but nice 1 for the help mate thank you

All sorted now it was the fuel pump what was the problem fitted another fuel pump and it's running fine now thanks knobby1 for the help thank you
