shoulkd get the van back tomorow, after hes fitted the running boards, he sent me a few pictures earlier, so its had both side windows fitted, the bit of rust developing on the front arch sorted, thats actually been sand blasted to help kill the rust there, and the underside and surface rust taken back and coated in whatever it is

well she passed the MOT, and tonight we changed the instrument cluster to the high spec one (brand new 0 mileage), obviously changed the indicator stalk as well, up to that point, yes it can be plug and play

however there is an option in forscan to tell the vehicke its a different cluster, and if you want to have the outside temp sensor activated, then you have to change it to a level 2 cluster with sensor, otherwise theres no option for activating the sensor, (mine is a 2012, with all the wiring there)

cannot find any option for mileage programming though, as theres no IPC option (which seems from the net, that thats whats needed)

but my version of forscan needs an update, so ill look again when ive done that

apart from that all works well

well having changed the cluster, i didnt notice ast first, but when you switch on the ignition, im sure the spanner light and the cog with the exclamation mark used to light up then go out with the old dash, i might be wrong, as i never took a great deal of notice if them on switch onb tbh, only really knew they were there as i have had them come up on faults, but on the new dash they definately dont light up and extinguish on the initial switch on, but the lights are definately there on the new dash

so question is, is it me, or should they come on

I’ll have a look what mine does when I go to work, don’t think I’ve seen the spanner light or cog with ! In it.

fantastic, thank you, that makes me feel better, thats the same as my new one

ive had both the other lights up on faults, but never took much notice of what came up on start up, but just seem to remember there being more lights on the lower end dash, on that top left corner, which is the spanner and cog lights

thank you again

Depending on the year of your van you have to watch out for the different types of clocks.
Some have the green section on the rev counter some don't.
Mine being a 2012 does not have the green section in the rev counter.
