Mk6 washer bottle leaks, or does it?

While away recently I noticed water collecting under the front nearside. Obvious candidates are the washer bottle or the cooling system.

Looked underneath and I could see water on the bottom of the washer bottle. I topped it up and in the morning it had drained away again. It doesn't empty completely.

I've just removed and cleaned it, filled it up and left it on a dry paper towel. No leak!

The pump rubber seal looks fine but I've ordered a new pump and seal just in case.

Beyond this I'm stumped.

I think I've found the leak. It's a small white area and if I push into it it seems to have a small crack.

I guess it opens up when the bottle is bolted in place.

I'll have a go at an epoxy repair.

Done, epoxy with some gauze, 3 coats and 2 pieces of gauze. Rough sanded before applying epoxy. Sorted
