Recommended garage near Bristol for mk6 clutch DMF ?

Postby tbullivant » Sat Jun 25, 2022 4:07 pm

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a trustworthy garage near Bristol for replacing the clutch and DMF in my mk6?

I would tackle it myself but not without proper ramps

Any recommendations appreciated

I use Richard at A.E Finch Garages on the Hartcliffe way, south Bristol. He has been maintaining all our vehicles and has just done a great job our MK6.

you dont need ramps the pull the box out, i do it lying on my back on my own- takes about 40 mins with a cuppa in the middle- also why would you stick a dmf back in? use a solid flywheel

Just in case anyone else sees this post. I called the above And they said they’d had a couple of recommendations sent their way from this forum - however, they cannot do high roof transit vans!

Cheers
