Hose location

Postby earthworm5000 » Mon Aug 08, 2022 2:56 pm

Hi guys some help would be greatly appreciated.

A little while ago I found this hose hanging from my track top or lower arm on the passengers side. Since then I have had an oil leak. I’m not sure it is related or even from the van. It is a mk7 09 115 t260. I have been through the Haines book and looked with no luck. Any advice Greatly received

FWD..?? 5 or 6 speed..?? If FWD it may be the gearbox breather tube...it normally goes from a nipple on the top of the gearbox and clips to another nipple/clip on the chassis. #7L282 here:

Haynes manual is essentially useless and only has generic Transit information...there's dozens of Transit variants and sub-variants... and the manual would be 1000's of pages thick if it were to cover everyone of them.

Thank you it is a 6 speed fwd. I have just got back off holiday so will look in the week. Would that hose missing account for the oil leak?

Possibly, bit it is attached at the top of the gearbox....is that where your oil is coming from..??
