MK7 Cruise Activation

Postby Lathe1 » Tue Sep 27, 2022 9:46 am

Hi, revisiting my failed cruise activation
everything seems to be in place but no cruise
Cruise and asl activated in BCM and IPC modules but throws a U2101 error in BCM when activated
have not managed to activate it in PCM as the data is in as_built format
any idea which line to change please ?
is it possible to get PCM.abt for 2011 with cruise fitted ?

My late 2010 has done this too. Two 'C' spec BCMs paired by Martyn/Vantuner, both worked fine on his van, no go on mine.

One thing I have noticed is there is no switch ladder shown in the data logging - assuming it should show if all is good.

Hi, I suspect all is well with the BCM, but I think the PCM need to know it has Cruise, thats why I am and getting the U2101 error when cruise is activated in the BCM. I have an .abt file for a 2012 with cruise to compare but there is a lot more data than the 2011 possibly as its euro 5. - someone must know something about as_built data ? found some ifo on the mazda site

From what I understood, it should be a simple case of pairing a suitable high spec BCM, enabling the function in the As-Built and uploading, and having the switch ladder in place.

My 07 pauper spec 140 was no problem to do with IDS, the later one came up with this fault.

Good Morning, CRUISE NOW WORKING
I have had a busy week and have learn't a lot! my C spec module was sent off for activation presumably by cloning, it turns out this has generated a U2101 error (which can not be cleared) when refitted to my van - This stops the cruise working, I was unaware that the cloning had caused the error, I have now purchased another C spec module, coppied my config data programed my keys, and activated cruise and now everything works as it should and no errors. I did this myself using ForScan. If I had known there was an error in the BCM it would of saved me 2 years of looking for a different solution !
