Mirror and window automatically close

Postby Charlesderek » Sun Nov 27, 2022 4:17 pm

Hi new on here , I couldn't find topics.
Does anyone know how to or have videos of how to wire up mirror and windows to close on locking of doors etc.
If you have a video or wiring diagram.
Thanks Derek

Mirrors don't close anyway unless you manually push them back, they don't have a motor in them. Only the drivers window has an "auto open" function when the switch is fully pushed down. Not heard of a window "Auto Close" function on a Mk6 or Mk7 at all.

I think you'd need to add an aftermarket alarm with full autoclose function on it to do what you're after doing, and wire it according to their instructions.

electric windows with auto close function of any kind have to have anti pinch eature, so if you get anything trapped in it, like a hand, it auto re opens, any vehicle without that will only have an auto open, and usually only on the drivers door, the anti pinch feature is required by law
