i was changing the n/s headlight and i noticed some water had got on top the pcm
took it off did not seem to bad, so used some wd40 on it and put it back together

Did your PCM have a cover and security/shear bolts on it ?

U0426 is an immobilizer issue... "invalid data received".

thank you for replying knobby,
yes the original 1 had the bolts on , the reason i removed the pcm was some water had got in
and i thought i had better check it out for water ingress. there was and i
wish i had'nt, any way cleaned it up and reinstalled it, b1206 fault and no fuel to the pump
mate off mine had a pcm with exact same numbers tried that ,no good. still the same
youre right about that code , looked it up on web , where others had same issues
someone on there said he had to reset the crash data ,done it with ids?
i have got forscan but had no joy with it.

Refit your original pcm,

Open the glovebox and drop it down, look to the left hand side there’s a inertia reset, usually had a yellow rubber cap on,
Press it to reset, then try it.
(You might have to clear the dtc after it’s reset.)

So,using your original PCM,you still have B1206 which will not clear ?

Replacing the pcm will not work unless you initialize the new module in PATS functions,as it’s part of the immobiliser system.

yes, still the same code , makes me think that its not pcm related problem
did a bit of research and someone said that it would be the eic switch ( electronic instrument cluster)
dont know if thats right or where that switch is located ?

No such animal on a Mk7 that I'm aware of.

JUST ONE MORE THING ON THIS IF ANYONE CAN HELP PLS
CANNOT GET RID OF THIS FAULT (B2106 CRASH ERROR) NO MATTER HOW IVE TRIED TO.
IF THERE IS ANYONE WITH TECH KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS FAULT
AS I NOW BELIEVE AFTER READING UP, THAT CRASH DATA IS HARD WRITTEN INTO THE PCM
AND CAN ONLY BE BE REMOVED BY OPENING UP THE PCM AND REWRITING THE EEPROM INSIDE
ANY COMMENTS ON THIS WOULD BE GREAT.

Check the wiring from inertia switch to BCM, and then from BCM to PCM - most likely this - it sounds like a dodgy connection.

Hi, did you get to the bottom of this?

I am in the same situation RE B1206 PCM crash = non starting van.

MK7 AWD 2.2 Transit.

I have followed the above steps and advice offered but still no luck. Live out in the sticks so not a lot of local help available. Using FORScan only at the moment.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks
