Mk7 hood release cable entry point?

Postby FritzZeus » Sat Dec 17, 2022 3:06 pm

Hi again, just a quick, any idea where the hood release cable goes through from the engine compartment to the cab?
Cheers

It doesn’t, you use the key in the grill to open the bonnet turn it anti clockwise to pop it and clockwise to open it fully.

Of course the penny has dropped. I’m just looking for any way in to the cab area whereby I can feed wires through without having to make extra holes; I’m building a camper and don’t want to make any holes if I can utilise any further that are already there.

Depending on how much wire ect you want to run there is a few access points, 1 is near the brake booster you’ll see little circles on the black mat in the engine bay, I’ve ran wires through there, there is one or two below the header tank but there a pain to get the access under the dash.
