how does a fwd 2.2 vent the crank case if it doesnt have a pcv valve how does it relieve pressure in the crank case ie oil pressure

As you stand in front of the van and look at the rocker cover ( bonnet open, air filter housing removed, etc. ) you should see a round feature on the right rear corner of the rocker cover and from there a hose to the inlet manifold.

The round feature is the crankcase ventilation valve, it is a passive valve.
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

It is basically. They don't have a PCV, (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) as such like the petrol engines do.

Many do fit one, l have one on mine, stops a lot of the crap getting in the manifold etc.
