When I bought my Van (Transit 2012 2.2 TDCI), he was degraded mode with mysterious P0341:62-2E.
The last owner of VAN has changed (in order)
- CMP sensor
- CKP sensor
- by pass origin harness between CMP and PCM
- Timing chain
- PCM
- Battery
After that, the last owner hesitated to burn the Van... A nighrmare ...
After lot of search (Google is good friend), I understood two issue are possibles:
- Bad timing chain (normally coming when your timing chain has lengthen). Mine is new.
- Bad sensor. Really ?
Normally, If your timing chain is correct the CKP sensor measured 23 teeth of engine flywheel before detected the CMP signal during 10 ms. If CKP sensor measured more 23 teeth of flywheel, your timing chain is not correct.
If your CMP sensor measured camshaft position during more of 10 ms, your sensor is the problem !
To check that you just need a scope.
You can see bellow the example of good signal for CKP and CMP
Great site web : https://rotkee.com/en/wavebase/good-tim ... model=2377
If your sensor detected the camshaft during more than 10 ms the PCM cannot be synchronized CKP and CMP signal.
See example of my original sensor (bad) with 12.3 ms.
After bought a new sensor (OEM) with good timing (10 ms) DTC can be clear
