Engine oil cooler

Postby Presto » Fri Mar 08, 2024 11:50 am

Will an engine oil cooler from a VM Mk7 fit on a VH-VJ model, I'm guessing a Mk6?

Oil filters are different. The cooler will physically fit as the basic blocks are the same but the small cooler hose connectors may be facing in a different direction.

VM, VH, VJ..?? You must be an Aussie..??

Assuming you have a Mk6..?? FWD or RWD..?? You don't say which you have...

The same cooler will fit all Mk6 & Mk7 RWD's, it's just the hoses which may need a little "manipulating"...

You can get the newer type with the metal "spin-on" filter too. I have one on my Mk7 2.4 140.

You still don't say whether the Mk6 is a FWD or RWD..??

The oil coolers for them are quite different.

The Ebay one I linked to will fit the RWD.
