Hello Transit Mk6 and Mk7 family!
I've been tinkering with my Transit lately, mainly to make it more comfortable and convenient for daily work. I found some interesting things that I want to share with you guys, maybe if anyone has similar intentions, they can refer to them a little.
Let me list some things I've done, leaning towards practicality, not "racing car" or "off-road":
The original floor of the car after a period of use is easily scratched, dirty and difficult to clean, especially for cargo vehicles like mine. I chose a thick, anti-slip imitation leather floor mat. Installation is also quite simple, just cut according to the car floor mold and fix it. The car floor is much cleaner, easier to clean, and has better grip when moving, loading and unloading goods is also more secure. The cost is not too high.
The original fabric seats are prone to sweat and odor, especially in hot and humid weather conditions. I chose to reupholster the seats with good quality industrial leather. The color depends on each person's preference, I chose a dark color for cleanliness. The interior looks more luxurious, is more comfortable to sit on, and is especially easy to clean when dirty. I think this investment is quite worthwhile.
The original ceiling light of the car is a bit dark, especially when I need to find something or do something in the car at night. I replaced the old halogen bulb with a bright white LED light. Installed a few more necessary locations such as the cargo compartment. The lighting is significantly improved, making all operations in the car easier at night. LED lights are also more energy efficient.
These are some of my small shares. I look forward to receiving comments and sharing more experiences from you guys on the forum. If anyone has other practical "toys" for Transit Mk6/Mk7, please share with everyone!
