Help needed please van won't start

Hi, replaced the egr valve on my 2009 transit 2.4 rwd and now getting the code P0642 and van won't fire, it ran and drove to where it is now and the only thing different is a new egr valve, has anyone come across this problem before? Cheers

P0642 low voltage singnal - check the connector to the EGR. Is the harness part of the connector fully fitted onto the EGR connector? Look for a bent male bin - a loose fitting female. Check wiring at the connector for damage. Dirt.

Check wiring / con's disturbed by the change esp the cam sensor and rail pressure sensor.

Hi, thanks for the advice, although we've found the problem, my dad rang me today amd after plugging it in again and it still being the same he unplugged the egr and it started straight up, turns out it's the wrong egr for the van even though everything looks identical when you put new and old side by side, definitely makes me feel better after my paddy last night haha! cheers
