Occasional slow to start.

Postby DanMK7uk » Mon Apr 21, 2025 10:59 pm

Got to love these intermittent ones…

Battery new (for other reasons)

Id say slower on warm starts maybe 3 seconds

No codes and cranking 300bar ..

Not to sure what to suspect other than a lazy starter ?

Any other possibility's ?

Cheers

Yep, lazy starter when warm, they pull silly amounts of current when warm/hot...sometimes to the point of the rest of the electrics are not getting enough juice to allow a good start.

A good clean-out, armature skim and fresh brushed may help....or just replace the starter with a new one.

New starter cured mine. Circa 157k miles on the old one. New starter was instantly different.
