Wiring check pretensioner circuit

Postby euroline07 » Thu May 22, 2025 8:48 am

Hello,

I have a Ford Transit MK7 Euroline 2007. I would like to check and measure the wiring for the driver's seat belt pretensioner. The wires on the connector are colored green/blue and black/blue. Unfortunately, these wires aren't connecting to the airbag module. There's probably another connector in between. Does anyone know what colors the two wires from the driver's seat belt pretensioner are connecting to the airbag module? If there's another connector, where is it located?

Best regards and thanks for help

2012 2.2 RWD E5 350.
The 2012 could be different than your van.
There are no wires on the belt latch which is fixed to the seat mount, there are no wires under the seat for the pretensioner/retractor.
The pretensioner is in the pillar on the right of the van just behind the drivers seat RHD.
The pretensioner with its two pin connector is near the bottom of the pillar. The connector is yellow and can be seen in the pillar on the pretensioner behind the belt.
With the plastic cover off just above the pretensioner is a hole in the pillar in which the harness and tag can be seen with the number 6C1T19A205 on the tag.
An image on ebay shows there are two connectors on this harness the yellow one and a grey one.
The harness likely goes up the pillar along over the top of the door and down the front pillar.
From the ebay image the grey connector is likely to be above the door or inside the front pillar.

The airbag light has been illuminated. At present it is thought it is to do with heat. On each occasion when the light has come on the van has been facing the sun drivers front and side where the front pillar is and the pillar behind the driver. Feeling inside the pillar behind the driver the harness can be felt to be touching the internal metal of the outer skin of the pillar.

2012 there is a connector above the drivers door. It is difficult to get at.
The wiring from the pretensioner to the connector above the door is Grey/brown, Black blue, Green blue.
One wire the black and blue one goes to a connector just above the pretensioner. It is not connected.
There are 3 wires to the connector from the yellow connector.
There are 2 wires from the connector to where ever they go to.
