What is the largest tyre and wheel possible before any modification??

I have a mk7 transit 2008 fwd 2.2 tdci

Iv seen 20s on but remember got to be load rated.. pretty uncomfortable ride too.

I have 18 ST style ones on mine a good compromise i think, as on my camper im keeping 16s on as I want more comfort (thicker profile) roads are shot in the UK.

I've got a set of Transit Custom steels on mine with 215/65 r15 tyres and they are quite close to the suspension strut. So width wise I wouldn't recommend anything over 225.

Diameter wise, just use a wheel size calculator online and see what diameters you can do IF you want to keep the rolling circumference the same to avoid recalibrating your speedo.
