Pipe identification? Transit mk7

Postby Bat135 » Sun Sep 28, 2025 10:07 am

Hi

Can anyone tell me what pipes these are called?

Need to get new ones as they have chaffed and split.

One is a thick pipe coming from radiator. (1)

Not sure where the smaller one goes yet (2)

Need to know names so I can search online and order new ones.

Thanks.

Take a look on catcar. Put your VIN in or select the options for your van and you should be able to find the correct lart numbers in the relevant section.

Big one at the bottom looks like the intercooler to inlet pipe

Intercooler and pipes

The small one from the thermostat housing usually runs to the egr valve or cooler.

mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

Thanks.
I think your suggestions on the egr one are correct but the big one is coming from bottom of radiator? Nowhere near intercooler?

The hose you have marked is the intercooler to inlet pipe.

The one I've marked in orange is the radiator bottom pipe.
