Oil leak

Postby timewarptel » Thu Dec 04, 2025 9:56 am

Hi guys, i have a mk 6 2001 lwb.
So i think i have a leak from oil cooler housing.
I fitted the upgraded one with spin off canister, about 4.5 years ago, it was £50 from tpuk. Their now £40 from tpuk
Is it likely that i just need a new gasket, about £10 from tpuk, or should i go for complete housing, which presumably includes gasket.
Thanks guys! Terry

Don't know , i think this is your decision not ours, £30 difference and you got a spare to keep for the future. and does the new filter housing come with the oil filter .. that is £10 or more.

some don't come with oil thermostat feature ,.. you'll have to look into that as well . where its made .. china or europe etc .

all the best.mark
